Thai Research Team Led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahasak Ketcham Won Awards at JDIE 2024 in Kyoto
Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahasak Ketcham, a lecturer at the Department of Information Technology Management, Faculty of Information Technology and Digital Innovation, has led a Thai research team to participate the "Japan Design, Idea, and Invention Expo" (JDIE 2024) held in Kyoto, Japan from 5-7 July 2024. Organized by the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) and Chizai Corporation, the expo attracted submissions from 25 countries, totaling over 400 inventions.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahasak Ketcham's innovations won recognition from the expo, with his project titled "Development of a Robotic Prototype for Muscle Pain Physiotherapy Using Artificial Intelligence and Games" earning the prestigious Gold Medal. Additionally, his creation "Development of Tactical Shooting Gallery Training System Using Virtual Reality" secured the Silver Medal.
Collaborating with a distinguished team from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thammasat University, and Mooban Chombueng Rajabhat University, Dr. Mahasak Ketcham contributed to three award-winning inventions submitted for evaluation. The team's collective efforts earned two Grand Prizes and one Silver Medal, marking a remarkable achievement on the international stage.
The research team includes Dr. Thittaporn Ganokratanaa, Dr. Patiyuth Pramkeaw, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rachada Kongkachandra, Asst. Prof. Dr. Narumol Chumuang, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pokpong Songmuang, Dr. Thanatchaphan Petcharat, Dr. Worawut Yimyam, Ms. Thidarat Pinthong, and Mr. Sirisak Visessenee, all of whom played integral roles in the success of these groundbreaking innovations.
