KMUTNB Showcases Research Expertise at ICDSE 2026 in China

King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) strengthened its international academic presence through participation in the 2026 International Conference on Damage Science and Engineering (ICDSE 2026), held from 16–18 October 2026 in Hangzhou, China. Organised by the Editorial Office of Defence Technology, the conference brought together more than 700 participants from various countries to exchange knowledge and discuss advances in damage science and engineering.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin, former President of KMUTNB and Director of KMUTNB Techno Park, was invited to serve as International Chair of the parallel session “Damage Materials and Protective Materials.” He chaired scientific presentations and facilitated discussions on research developments in material damage and protective applications.

Dr. Sanjay Mavinkere Rangappa, Chief Scientist and Associate Professor at KMUTNB, delivered an invited talk entitled “Natural Fiber Composites for Safer and Greener Engineering Applications.” His presentation highlighted the potential of natural fiber composites to support sustainable engineering while addressing material performance and safety considerations.

Their participation showcased KMUTNB’s expertise in advanced and sustainable materials, fostered exchanges with international researchers, and provided opportunities to explore future research collaborations.

Through active engagement in international scientific forums, KMUTNB continues to advance research excellence, strengthen global academic partnerships, and contribute to safer and more sustainable engineering solutions.
