The Delegates from Germany Visit KMUTNB during 6 – 9 September 2022

On 6 September 2022, at the meeting room of Science and Technology Research Institute, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin, KMUTNB President, warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. habil. Steffen Fischer, Chairman of Institute of Plant and Wood Chemistry, Technische Universität Dresden, and Prof. Dr. Thomas Heinze, Head of the Center of Excellent for Polysaccharide Research, Friedrich Schiller University Jena. The delegates of the two German universities had a meeting with the KMUTNB President, Ms. Sikan Kulchonchan, Vice President for International Affairs, and the team of executives to discuss the potential areas to initiate academic collaborations and exchange views on research with KMUTNB researchers. Then, the delegates from Germany visit laboratories in Science and Technology Research Institute (STRI) and Thai-French Innovation Institute (TFII), such as Center of Innovation in Design and Engineering for Manufacturing and Renewable Energy Research Centre. They are welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampanart Theinnoi, Director of STRI, and Asst. Prof.Dr. Wattana Kaewmanee, Director of TFII.

Later, on 8 September 2022, Prof. Dr. habil. Steffen Fischer, Chairman of Institute of Plant and Wood Chemistry, Technische Universität Dresden, and Prof. Dr. Thomas Heinze, Head of the Center of Excellent for Polysaccharide Research, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, visited the Faculty of Applied Science. The delegates from Germany was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surapun Yimman, Dean, and the team of executives, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pianpool Kamoljitprapa, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Peerapong Pornwongthong, Associate Dean for Research and Development and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nonchanutt Chudpooti, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, and other faculty members. They had a meeting with the executives of the Faculty of Applied Science to discuss the possible area for building academic collaborations. Moreover, the two delegates also visited laboratories of the SMS Group, a Subsidiary Company, in Pathumthani Province.

Also, on 9 September 2022, the delegates from Germany visited Faculty of Science, Energy and Environment at KMUTNB Rayong Campus. They were greeted and had a meeting with Ms. Sikan Kulchonchan, Vice President for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aiya Chantarasiri, Dean, Dr. Jakkrawut Maitip, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and the team of faculty members to discuss about the possible areas for academic collaborations. Then, they visited Solar Rooftop, Scientific Instrument and Analytical Testing Center, Alternative Energy Learning Center and SciEE Polymer Technology Laboratory and Facilities.
