Delegation from IIT Madras Visit KMUTNB to Strengthen the Strategic Partnership
On 7 January 2026, at Ratchaphruek Meeting Room, Navamindra Rajini Building, a delegation from the Royal Thai Consulate General, Chennai, and Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), including Mr. Panutaj Rasmidatta, Consul of the Royal Thai Consulate General Chennai, Prof. Dr. Balaji Srinivasan, and Ms. Priya Venkat, had a cooperation meeting with the team of KMUTNB executives led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong, Vice President for International Affairs, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nisai Fuengwarodsakul, Dean of TGGS, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanaporn Rojhirunsakool, Assistant Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ampol Likitchatchawankun, Assistant Dean of TGGS, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sanjay Mavinkere Rangappa, Advisor of the office of the President, Ms. Phimvalanch Moosikaphan, Director of International Cooperation Centre.
Over the recent years, the partnership between KMUTNB and India has continually grown. Especially, the Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS) have successfully fostered the strategic partnership with Indian partner institutions. In particular, the Natural Composite Research (NCR) Group Lab affiliated to TGGS has developed a close and fruitful cooperation with Indian partners. In the past Decembers, NCR has successfully organized the International Conference on Surface Engineering of Sustainable and Bio-Materials (ICSESBM 2025) along with Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) at IIT Madras, Chennai. The visit of the IIT Madras delegates will contribute to strengthen the cooperation between KMUTNB and IIT Madras, as well as to provide a unique opportunity to explore the potential to expand cooperation.
