Dutch Delegation Visits KMUTNB to Explore Semiconductor Collaboration

On 23 September 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong, Vice President for International Affairs, warmly welcomed a delegation from the Netherlands. The group included Mr. Peter Zwart, Senior Policy Advisor from the Netherlands' Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Micha Tahar, Business Development and Project Manager at High Tech NL, and representatives from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Malaysia and Thailand, including Mr. Kit Sin Ang, Senior Economic Officer, and Ms. Arissara Weiler, Economic Officer.


The delegates visited the KMUTNB National Semiconductor Training Center at the Faculty of Applied Science, where they were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pianpool Kamoljitprapa, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, and Mr. Wirat Sri-amonkitkul, President of the Thai Semiconductor Industry Trade Association (THSIA). The group also participated in a meeting with KMUTNB and THSIA executives to discuss potential collaborations between Thailand and the Netherlands in the semiconductor sector.


This visit comes as Thailand continues to position itself as a regional hub for semiconductor technology, with KMUTNB playing a key role in developing a skilled workforce for the industry. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) recently designated KMUTNB as the national center for semiconductor and PCB workforce development.
