During 18 – 19 July 2024, Prof. Dr. Somrerk Chandra-ambhorn, Vice President for Research and Information Technology Development, and Asst. Prof. Supeeti Kulchan led a team of faculty members from KMUTNB's Faculty of Industrial Technology and Management and College of Industrial Technology to visit Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang. The KMUTNB delegation participated in the ASEAN Consortium for Innovation and Research Plus Workshop on Research and Innovation for Students (AWRIS 2024), engaging with a network of executives and researchers from across Asia and Europe. During the workshop, Prof. Dr. Somrerk Chandra-ambhorn delivered a keynote lecture titled “Our True North and A Journey to Make the Meaningful Academic Results.”

Additionally, VKU hosted a bilateral meeting with the KMUTNB delegates to explore opportunities for expanding collaboration. Discussions focused on enhancing staff and student exchanges, co-organizing academic conferences, launching joint research projects, and exploring other collaborative activities under the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation framework. The Faculty of Technology and Industrial Management also nominated students to attend the Conference on Information Technology and Its Application 2024 (CITA 2024), which took place concurrently with the visit.
