Thai KMUTNB iRAP Robot Team Wins the Championship at World RoboCup Rescue 2024 in Netherlands

From 16 – 21 July 2024, the KMUTNB students’ iRAP Robot team represented Thailand at the World RoboCup Rescue 2024 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The team from KMUTNB won their 10th championship in this tournament. In addition, they received two other prestigious awards: Best in Class Mobility and Best in Class Dexterity.

In the final round, the KMUTNB iRAP Robot team scored an impressive 1076 points. The runner-up position went to a team from Japan, who scored 921 points, while Germany’s team secured third place with 825 points. This year’s tournament featured 20 teams from 10 different countries, including Germany, Japan, France, China, Korea, Austria, Switzerland, Mexico, Bangladesh, and Thailand. The finalists also included: 1. iRAP Robot Team (Thailand) 2. Shinobi Team (Japan) 3. Solidus Team (Switzerland) 4. Alert Team (Germany) 5. Quix Team (Japan) 6. Hector Team (Germany)

The KMUTNB iRAP Robot team’s participation and success were supported by Thai Airways, the KMUTNB Alumni Association, Search Entertainment Co Ltd., various departments within KMUTNB, and contributions from both private and government sectors in Thailand.
