LeX 2024 facilitators Visits the Local Community for the Preparation of the 2024 Learning Express Program

A delegation of LeX 2024 facilitators from Singapore Polytechnic, including Mr. Henry Kwong from the School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, and Mr. Timothy Chao from the Singapore Maritime Academy, along with Ms. Hope Lee from the Department of Student Development, and Mr. Wee Eng Soon, Project Manager SPI, recently visited KMUTNB from 13 – 16 October 2023. The purpose of their visit was to attend a meeting with the KMUTNB team, focusing on the planning of the 2024 Learning Express (LeX) KMUTNB-SP Collaboration Program. Additionally, the delegation surveyed facilities at KMUTNB and Koh Kret Island, the designated locations for the program scheduled to take place from March 2 to 13, 2024. The project will enable the students from both institutions who studied in different fields to integrate their knowledge in generating innovative ideas to tackle challenges faced by local people. 

The visiting delegation received a warm welcome from Asst. Prof. Dr. Peerapong Pornwongthong, Assistant to the President for Innovation Research and Development, Ms. Phimvalanch Moosikaphan, Director of the International Cooperation Centre, Asst. Prof. Supeeti Kulchan, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication of the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Management, Asst. Prof. Dr. Prawech Chumkesornkulkit from the College of Industrial Technology, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Thepwatee from the Faculty of Applied Science. Building on a history of collaboration, the Learning Express (LeX) KMUTNB - SP Collaboration Programs, along with the TF-SCALE 2023 facilitators, have been successfully hosted by both institutions in 2018, 2019, and 2023. The collaborative efforts aim to foster design thinking competence among students, reflecting the ongoing commitment of Singapore Polytechnic and KMUTNB to cultivate an innovator's mindset and equip students with essential 21st-century skills.
