German Scholars Share Insight on Organic Chemistry and Plant Chemistry at KMUTNB’s Special Lecture

During 31 August 2023 to 1 September 2023, the special lecture was held at Faculty of Applied Science, KMUTNB. The three scholars from Germany are invited to give lectures, including Prof. Dr. Thomas Heinze, Head of the Center of Excellence for Polysaccharide Research, Institute for Organic Chemistry and Macromolecular Chemistry (IOMC), Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Steffen Fischer, Director of Institute of Plant and Wood Chemistry, Technische Universität Dresden. They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin, KMUTNB President, Assoc. Prof. Pianpool Kamoljitprapa, Dean of Faculty of Applied Science, and the team of lecturers of Faculty of Applied Science. The block lectures attracted the audience from a wide range of backgrounds, including lecturers, researchers, graduate students and undergraduate students. This opportunity enabled the KMUTNB community to directly learn and exchange new insights with the leading scholars in the field of plant and wood chemistry, organic chemistry and molecular chemistry. Also, the delegates from Germany visited laboratories at KMUTNB Technopark and he was welcomed by Asst. Prof. Preecha Ongaree, Director of KMUTNB Technopark, and the team of executives. In addition, the German delegates visited the Vanachai Group Public Company Limited which manufactures and distributes wood-based products.
