The First Meeting of the IGIP National Section of Thailand’s Committee

On 1 October 2020, at International Cooperation Center, Anekprasong Building, the first meeting of the IGIP National Section of Thailand was held. The meeting was presided by Asst. Prof. Dr. Panarit Sethakul, chairperson of the committee of the IGIP National Section of Thailand, and was attended by members of the committee, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somsak Akatimagool, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phayung Meesad, Prof. Dr. Athakorn Kengpol, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phichet Sriyanyon, and Miss Sikan Kulchonchan, Vice President for International Affair, the committee’s advisor. The committee discussed about the opening of IGIP local branch in King Mongkut’s University of North Bangkok which will be the first national branch in Southeast Asia with a goal to offer a training program in Engineering Education to instructors in Thailand and nearby countries. After completing the program, the attendee will carry the title of "IGIP International Engineering Educator -Ing.Paed.IGIP." For more than 40 years, International Society for Engineering Pedagogy has been a leading global association which has significantly contributed to engineering pedagogy through various means, including the arrangement of international conferences and IGIP working groups, offering of training program and publishing academic journals. The association also has a worldwide academic networks.
