KMUTNB Hosts the 67th Anniversary Celebration: “Harnessing Technology for the Nation, Advancing Innovation, and Maintaining Loyal Remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.”
On 19 February 2026, KMUTNB hosted the KMUTNB’s 67th Anniversary Celebration: “Harnessing Technology for the Nation, Advancing Innovation, and Maintaining Loyal Remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.” This event was organized to commemorate the university’s 67 founding anniversary and to commemorate the boundless compassion of H.M. Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, whose royal initiatives have made incomparable contributions to the national prosperity and well-being of the Thai people. Her Majesty’s lifelong dedication has always been a source of inspiration in creating benefits for the country and mankind. Besides, this annual event also aims to strengthen relationships among faculty members, alumni, students, staff, academic partners, government and private sectors.
The program includes the following activities:
Morning Session
Prof. Dr.Thanin Silpcharu, President of KMUTNB, presided over a merit-making ceremony, joined by Prof. Dr. Theerawut Boonyasophon, Chairman of the University Council, along with executives and staff. The ceremony includes offering food to 19 monks at the Chalermprakiat Open Space.
Late Morning Session
Prof. Dr. Thanin Silpcharu, KMUTNB President, led the team of KMUTNB executives to lay wreaths in tribute to the KMUTNB Founders; Prof. Dr. Boonyasak Jaijongkit and Dipl. Ing Karl Stützle at the “Tawabhuchaneeyajarn Monument” beside the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering.
Afternoon Session
Prof. Dr. Thanin Silpcharu, KMUTNB President, and Prof. Dr. Somrerk Chandra-ambhorn, Vice President for Research, presided over the award ceremony to honor award recipients in various categories at the Cloud 9 Conference Room, 9th Floor, Science and Technology Research Institute Building.
Evening Session
The evening ceremony was presided over by Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukphasuk, Privy Councillor, who also delivered the opening remarks. Later, the ceremonious procession moved to the stage led by the KMUTNB President, Vice Presidents, Assistants to the President, Deans, Directors, and the President of the KMUTNB Alumni Association under Royal Patronage. The program includes award presentations for KMUTNB Distinguished Person, Outstanding Alumni, and special awards.
Entering its 67th year marks a significant milestone of the KMUTNB’s research and innovation achievements, driven by accomplishments of its faculty, staff, and students across diverse disciplines which have gained recognition both domestically and internationally. KMUTNB will continue its efforts to pursuit the research and education excellences in science and technology, as well as intensifying its contribution to Thailand’s social and economic advancement.
