The QS University Rankings by Subject 2025 was released on 12 March 2025 and it has placed King Mongkut’s University of Technology Bangkok among the top 5 in Thailand in 3 subject areas for 2025 as follows. 

- No. 2 in Thailand and among the top 401-550 universities worldwide in Material Sciences

- No. 4 in Thailand and among the top 501-575 universities worldwide in Mechanical Engineering

- No. 5 in Thailand and among the top 451 – 500 universities worldwide in Mathematics

The QS World University Rankings is compiled by the Quacquarelli Symonds and is globally recognized. It was based on five indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations per paper, H-index (research publication impact) and international research network. Notably, KMUTN has won constant recognitions from the leading university rankings. In particular, KMUTNB has climbed significantly in Material Sciences and secured the top 2 place in Thailand.
