IGIP Executive Committee Member Visits KMUTNB to Discuss the Operation of the IGIP National Section of Thailand

On 1 November 2024, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Juergen Koeberlein-Kerler, a member of the IGIP Executive Committee, visited KMUTNB and was welcomed by the university executives, including Ms. Sikan Kulchonchan, Vice President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Panarit Sethakul, Chairperson of the IGIP National Section of Thailand; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somsak Akatimagool, Secretary-General of the IGIP National Section of Thailand; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Juergen Koeberlein-Kerler held a productive discussion with KMUTNB representatives on the progress of establishing the IGIP National Section of Thailand and the strategic plans for its future operations. Since 2020, KMUTNB has been working to launch an IGIP branch at KMUTNB, which would be the first national branch in Southeast Asia. This initiative aims to offer a specialized training program in Engineering Education to instructors in Thailand and neighboring countries.

For over 40 years, the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy has been a leading global association, significantly contributing to engineering education through international conferences, IGIP working groups, training programs, and the publication of academic journals. KMUTNB always remains committed to fostering excellence in engineering pedagogy and promoting global standards in engineering education in Thailand.
