UNESCO-KMUTNB Small Grants Program for Early Career Researchers and Young Professionals in AI

On 5 April 2022, at Vijitvatee Conference Room, Building 81, Faculty of Engineering held the event for presenting the outcomes of the project entitled “UNESCO-KMUTNB Small Grants Program for Early Career Researchers and Young Professionals in AI,” which is the collaboration between King’s Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The event was co-presided by Assoc. Prof. Udomkiat Nontakaew, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, and Mr. Shigeru Aoyagi, Director of UNESCO Bangkok office. The titles of projects which have been carried out by KMUTNB’s faculty members and students are as follows: 1) Social Media’s AI Ethics, Digital Literacy, and AI Trust: Could These Lead to Positive Health Behavior During COVID-19? 2) The design of Machine Learning using AI model for searching of ethnic minority people in the Gulf of Thailand 3) Food assessment using AI to predict an appropriate food for the ethnic minority elderly with chronic diseases 4) Firefighter Alert 5) Vital Sign Monitoring System with OCR IoT Device 6) AI for Pain Assessment.
