MHESI Minister Leads Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for Semiconductor Technology Building at KMUTNB

On 14 November 2025, Mr. Surasak Phancharoenworakul, Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), visited King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) to preside over the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new Semiconductor Technology Building. The event was also attended by Dr. Punpermsak Aruni, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of MHESI, Prof. Dr. Teravuti Boonyasopon, Chairman of the KMUTNB University Council, and Prof. Dr. Thanin Silpcharu, President of KMUTNB.

During the ceremony, Mr. Surasak Phancharoenworakul emphasized the significance of the new building as a cornerstone in developing Thailand’s semiconductor industry. He highlighted that the facility would serve as a hub for education, research, and technology transfer, fostering greater collaboration between academia and industry. This initiative is expected to strengthen Thailand's position as a leader in the regional semiconductor industry, providing the foundation for both local and national technological advancements. Moreover, it will contribute to promoting the development of research and technology-based business both locally and nationally.
