KMUTNB Rises among Thailand’s Top Universities for Study in Four Subjects

KMUTNB has recently been recognized by THE World University Rankings by Subject 2025 in four subjects, including Physical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Business and Economics. On 22 January 2025, Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025 was released and KMUTNB won recognition in four disciplines as follows: the Thailand top 3 and world top 801 – 1000 in Physical sciences, the Thailand top 3 and world top 801 – 1000 in Engineering, the Thailand top 2 and world top 501 – 600 in Computer science, the Thailand top 4 and world top 801 – 1000 in Business and Economics.

The Times Higher Education World University Ranking by Subject is annually published by Times Higher Education, a leading British education magazine. This annual publication of university rankings is based on 5 five key metrics, ranging from Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry and International Outlook. Winning of recognition in these subjects reflects KMUTNB’s emerging excellence in the university’s key focus areas. 

KMUTNB has steadily improved its performance in Business and Economics and secured recognition from THE Ranking for the first time in 2025. Considering the scores in each indicator separately, KMUTNB has achieved the highest score in Thailand for research quality in Engineering and also the highest score in Thailand for research environment in Computer Science. Not only serving as the evidence of its education and research strengths, the success in securing recognition in this ranking reflects the dedication and hard work of the KMUTNB community members who uphold standards and shape the university’s future.
