KFUPM and KMUTNB Explore Strategic Cooperation for Academic and Research Advancements

On 28 November 2025, a key cooperation meeting was held at the International Cooperation Centre’s Meeting Room, attended by the delegates from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, and King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand. KFUPM, widely recognized for its academic excellence and research impact, ranks as the top university in the Arab region and is ranked among the world’s top 67 universities in the QS World University Rankings for 2026. This visit provided an invaluable opportunity for both institutions to exchange ideas and explore the potential areas for collaboration in research, education, and innovation.

Also present at the meeting were several KMUTNB executives, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. Sunantha Sodsee, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Digital Innovation, Asst. Prof. Dr. Achareeya Robkit, Dean of the International College, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rattanakorn Phadungthin, Associate Dean of the College of Industrial Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tawiwan Kangsadan, Associate Dean of the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanaporn Rojhirunsakool, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

The fruitful discussions at the meeting highlighted the potential for building lasting partnerships between the two universities, strengthening academic ties, and further advancing research initiatives.
