On 29 October 2025, Prof. Dr. paed. habil. Hanno Hortsch visited the Faculty of Technical Education at KMUTNB to discuss the ongoing progress of the university’s IGIP Accredited Training Centre. During the meeting, he was joined by KMUTNB’s executive team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somsak Akatimagool, Dean of the Faculty of Technical Education, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Panarit Sethakul, Advisor to the Dean on Vocational Education and Professional Competency.

In 2024, KMUTNB was designated as the IGIP National Section of Thailand, a key development in advancing the quality of engineering education. The IGIP National Section at KMUTNB is focused on enhancing the competence of lecturers, teachers, and administrative staff in higher education and vocational institutions across Thailand. Prof. Dr. paed. habil. Hanno Hortsch, who serves as an honorary advisor to the IGIP National Section of Thailand, has provided invaluable guidance and supports for the establishment of the IGIP National Section of Thailand.
