On 29 August 2025, Dr. Phongsatorn Saisutjarit, a lecturer at KMUTNB’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, received the prestigious Thailand-Japan Friendship Honorary Award at the Nippon Haku Bangkok 2025 event. Dr. Saisutjarit, who holds a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Tokyo, was recognized for his contributions to space technology, particularly as the project manager of Thailand’s first CubeSat, "KNACKSAT". The award underscores his significant role in fostering Thailand-Japan scientific collaborations and advancing space technology development.
