KMUTNB Delegation Visits FPT University and Attend the MoU Exchange at the Vietnam–Thailand Business Forum 2025 with the Presence of Thai and Vietnamese Prime Ministers

On 16 May 2025, at the Thang Long Ballroom, Melia Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam, Prof. Dr. Thanin Silpcharu, President of KMUTNB, led a university delegation to participate in the MoU exchange ceremony at the Vietnam–Thailand Business Forum 2025. The event was co-chaired by H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Phạm Minh Chính, Prime Minister of Vietnam.

Organized by the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ThaiCham), the forum marked a milestone in the elevation of Thailand–Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership, focusing on emerging themes related to supply chains, local economies, and sustainable development. The Thailand’s and Vietnam’s governments expect that this comprehensive strategic will benefit both nations by strengthening bilateral cooperation, advancing education and research, and contributing to the shared goal of long-term economic and technological growth.

Key highlights of the event included the MoU exchange ceremony among leading institutions and corporations from both countries. Notably, KMUTNB also exchanged MoU with FPT University, a leading private university in Vietnam. Also attending the MoU exchange ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong, Vice President for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong, Vice President for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitirat Thawornsujaritkul, Assistant to the President for KMUTNB Rayong Campus, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sunee Wattanakomol, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Asst. Prof. Aran Blattler, Director, Robotic Engineering and Automation System Program, Faculty of Engineering.

This MoU exchange between KMUTNB and FPTU marks the beginning of a dynamic and impactful partnership, based on a shared vision for academic excellence and mutual commitment to regional development. Both sides aim at developing academic collaboration in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Robotics Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This also aligns with the broader cooperative effort of the Thailand–Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership, launched by the governments of the two countries to foster cooperation in politics, security, economy, and grassroots development for long-term mutual benefit. Also, this agreement marks KMUTNB’s commitment to supporting Thailand’s national policy for a knowledge-based economy and promoting science-driven innovation, while it will also contribute to enhancing bilateral collaboration of the two countries in education, science and technology.
