KMUTNB President Recognized as Honorary Fellow by RWTH Aachen University at Annual TGGS Advisory Board Meeting

On 16 February 2024, at Ratchaphruek Meeting Room, Navamindra Rajini Building, the annual TGGS Advisory Board Meeting was hosted and co-presided over by Mr. Hans-Ulrich Südbeck, Deputy Chief of Mission German Embassy in Bangkok, Prof. Dr. -Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin, KMUTNB President, and Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Dr. h.c. mult. Ulrich Rüdiger, Rector of RWTH Aachen University. The meeting was also attended by the government and organization members and industry members, as well as the executive teams from KMUTNB and RWTH. The 28 –year-long cooperation between KMUTNB and RWTH Aachen University have unceasingly yielded fruitful outcomes, but the most outstanding cooperative achievement is the establishment of Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering in 2002. Since its establishment, TGGS has committed to produce highly competent engineers and contributed to fulfilling the university’s missions to deepen its research expertise for addressing industry demand. 


In addition, Prof. Dr. -Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin, was nominated by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and lnformation Technology, RWTH Aachen University, to receive a certificate of the of HONORARY FELLOW OF RWTH AACHEN UNIVERSITY. Prof. nat. Dr. h. c. mult. Ulrich Rildiger presented the certificate to the KMUTNB President after the TGGS Advisory Board Meeting was finished. This title is awarded in recognition of his distinguished academic achievements in the field of polymer processing and composite materials, as well as his outstanding service towards Thailand-Germany relations, and his dedication towards the development of the Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering and the friendship between the King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok and RWTH Aachen University.
